Lady with a dog

About this piece

This original acrylic painting captures a peaceful seaside moment through a vibrant palette and expressive, naïve-inspired composition. A woman sits at an outdoor café table overlooking the sea, her face gently hidden behind a small white dog resting in her lap. The playful composition celebrates companionship, tranquility, and the simple beauty of everyday rituals. Dressed in a deep purple top, bright orange tights, and classic Mary Jane shoes, the figure creates a striking contrast against the soft pink sky and rich blue sea. Beside her, a round table holds a glass of red wine and a bouquet of colorful flowers in a blue glass vase, bringing warmth and elegance to the scene. Large stylized flowers blooming beneath the table blur the line between reality and imagination, giving the painting a dreamlike atmosphere. Bold color blocks, visible acrylic brushstrokes, and decorative forms create a joyful contemporary aesthetic inspired by naïve art and post-impressionism. Perfect for collectors of contemporary figurative art, colorful interiors, dog lovers, and coastal-inspired paintings, this artwork brings warmth, optimism, and personality into any living room, dining area, or creative space. A celebration of quiet afternoons, loyal companionship, and the joy of slowing down by the sea.
