About this piece
This contemporary acrylic painting is dedicated to human connections, encounters, and the intersections of life's paths. At the center of the composition is a woman in a white hat and pink striped dress. She holds a yellow vase filled with delicate pink flowers. Other figures surround her: a man in red-and-white striped trousers, a man in a black suit, a woman in a yellow dress, and silhouettes of people appearing in the background. Simplified faces and flat color forms deprive the characters of specific individual traits. They become, rather, images of people we encounter along the way: acquaintances, random passersby, loved ones, and those whose stories remain unknown. The flowers in the heroine's hands become a personal space within the crowd—something fragile and living that a person carries with them as they move among others. Vibrant pinks, yellows, reds, blacks, and bluish-greens create a dynamic composition, while textured brushstrokes emphasize the materiality of the painting. The "Trajectory" series is a reflection on time, choice, and the people whose paths have crossed ours. We meet people at different points along our journey. Some stay close, some gradually disappear from our lives, and some continue to exist in our memories. Each person traces their own trajectory—a line that sometimes intersects with ours and, for a time, becomes our shared one.
